1997-ben végeztek ásatást a templom udvarán, ekkor bukkantak a középkori templom falmaradványaira.
1963-ban került elő a körítőfal maradványa. A török időkben nem vált lakatlanná a település. 1592-ben már Budakeszinek nevezik.
A romtemplom falait mindenütt agyagos mészhabarcsba rakták. A különböző korok javítása váltakozó minőségű mészhabarccsal történtek.
Az ásatás során bizonyossá vált, hogy a templom környéke, a falu központjának múltja mintegy 1000 évre nyúlik vissza.
Excavations were carried out in the courtyard of the church in 1997, when the remains of the medieval church were discovered.
In 1963, the remains of the fence wall were found. The settlement did not become uninhabited in Turkish times. In 1592 it was called Budakeszi.
The walls of the ruined church were laid everywhere in clay lime mortar. The improvement of the different ages was done with lime mortar of varying quality.
During the excavation, it became certain that the area around the church, the center of the village, dates back about 1,000 years.
